This Copyright Policy is part of the Terms of Service between Scanvato Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company that operates Bay2Bill ("we," "us" or "our"), and the business using Bay2Bill (the "Shop" or "you"). Scanvato Labs LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects Users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how to report claimed copyright infringement and describes our response, including termination of repeat infringers, under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
1. Reporting claimed infringement
If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent with all of the following (a notice missing these elements may not be actionable under the DMCA):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (for example, the shop name or a URL).
- Your contact information — address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Designated Agent:
Aqeel Wahaj, Manager Scanvato Labs LLC 3808 Smoke Tree Ln, McKinney, TX 75070 Email: scanvatolabs@gmail.com
(This matches what's on file in the U.S. Copyright Office's Designated Agent Directory, Registration Number DMCA-1081395 — update both places together if it ever changes.)
2. What happens after a valid notice
On receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the User who posted it. Acting on a notice is not an admission that infringement occurred.
3. Counter-notification
A User who believes material was removed by mistake or misidentification may submit a counter-notice with:
- Their physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that they have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Their name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for their district (or, if outside the U.S., any district where we may be found), and that they will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant informs us they've filed a court action seeking to restrain the User.
4. Repeat infringer policy
We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, terminate the accounts of Users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A User may be considered a repeat infringer based on multiple valid, unretracted infringement notices, or other reliable evidence of repeated infringing activity. This policy is part of the Acceptable Use section of our Terms of Service and the suspension/termination rights described there.
5. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing (or was removed by mistake) may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
